Christmas Party Ideas: Winter Wonderland
Christmas is just around the corner. Have you started your Christmas party planning? Christmas is all about family, friends and merriment. The best way to celebrate the Christmas season is with fabulous Christmas party ideas. Here’s some tips on throwing your own Winter Wonderland party:
- Use color themes of silver, white and gold.
- Decorate with snowflake decor and accents.
- For food and hors d’oeuvres, go with billowy, white foods such as marshmallows, white chocolate fondue or rice dishes.
- Serve creatively concocted and named cocktails such as “blizzards” or “icicles.”

Chocolate Fondue Recipe:
1c heavy cream
1/2 stick butter, the unsalted kind
1 tsp vanilla extract
2, 12 oz packages of white chocolate chips
Prep
In a saucepan over a medium heat, heat the cream and butter. Using a whisk to stir, bring the mixture to a simmer. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add white chocolate and then stir in the vanilla extract, stirring until chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
Serve in a fondue pot or a big bowl with things to dip in it, such as fruit or cake slices.
